Thursday inaugurated the exhibition of the XIII edition of Youth Arts Award in American Museum of Madrid.
I had the great pleasure of being awarded the 2010 completion of the award, ie the work that becomes the image of Young Award this year and handed to the winners of all modalities. My screen Semblantes was released in 135 copies, and is part of the sample.
There were many people at the opening and I could not take good pictures, so I put pictures that I took the catalog: the winning one of 3 runners and a work of selected photo. Come back another day and maybe hang more pictures.
Young Award is organized every year by the Cultural Department of the Complutense Foundation: For more information, please visit the website Young Award.
The exhibition at the American Museum until 9 January and then travel to Valdepeñas and Leon.

Last Thursday the visual art exhibition of the Prize for Young (Youth Prize) was inaugurated in Madrid's Museum of America .
Much to my delight, I was commissioned to do the graphic work that was given as a prize to the winners this year. My serigraph was printed in a limited edition of 135 and it is part of the display.
There were many people at the vernissage and I couldn't take any good photos, so here are a few pictures from the catalogue. There's the winner (
Teddy bear waiting for the call ), one of the three proxime accessit prizes and one selected photographic work. I'll go back again soon and maybe show more pictures.
The exhibition takes place until 9th January in the Museum of America and then it goes to Valdepenas and Leon.

On & on the House Small

In Silence, by Chiharu Shiota

From Here to Ear , by Celeste Boursier Mougenot

The Conference , by Steiner & Lenzlinger

I just visited an exhibition of contemporary art
that I found very interesting The House turned . I'll give little information about what I saw there because one of the pleasures is the surprise effect which many of the entries. The first thing that got me wanting to see "On & On" was a picture of the piano caught in a black net. Then I read that Tino Sehgal exposed something and was very curious to see the work of this artist. As I have experienced (seen / heard / ASSISTED a) a work of Tino Sehgal, and I liked it.
is rare this post that talks about an exhibition not to mention it, but I hope that you can, you will go to see it: it is until 16 January. We talk about it when finished :-) There are things I've loved, one that upset me greatly, I have boring things, one that made me funny ... There are strawberries and chocolate, birds and cockroaches, smells and music and more. On the page The burning house, you can download the audio guide.

I have just visited a very interesting contemporary art exhibition in Madrid's Casa encendida . I'm going to give little information here about what you can actually see there because part of the pleasure is the surprise you have when discovering many of the works. The first thing that made me want to visit 'on & on' was the photo of the piano trapped in a black web. Then I read that Tino Sehgal was one of the artists participating and I was curious about his work. Well, I experienced (saw/heard/watched) his piece of work on show and I very much appreciated it.
This is a weird post writing about an exhibition without writing about it, but I do hope those of you who can go will do so: it is on until 16th January. We can talk about it when it is over. :-) Some of the things I saw there I really liked, some of them I vividly disliked, some bored me, some amused me... there are strawberries and chocolate, birds and cockroaches, smells and music, etc. On La Casa Encendida's site , you can Download the audio guide.

I'll give you some information about what we can see as one of the pleasures is the element of surprise to many works. The first thing that made me want to see "On & On" was the photo taken of the piano in a black tangle. And then I read that there was a work of Tino Sehgal artist who awakens my curiosity (especially after reading an article in Beaux Arts Magazine this year). Well I have experienced (seen / heard / seen a) a work by Tino Sehgal, and I really enjoyed it. Bizarre
my post that talks about a show without talking, but I hope those who have the opportunity to see it go: it is visible until 16 January. We can tell when it's over. Picnic Tables Blueprints

Colmenar Madrid

I was amazed at the exhibition I saw the other day at Least One Area (calle La Palma, 28, in Madrid). Elisabet is Sierra and prefer is called the bush. has installed hundreds of birds and paper boats, all suspended, and filling the room ... the effect is magical.
As I guess you already know (I did not know), the saying goes " A bird in hand bush" ... Elizabeth Sierra preferred because bush, and me too.
The expo is up to the November 20, open from 19h to 22h from Monday to Saturday. You can also see a piece of Amoeba, which I can not talk because he was not when I was still mounted.

I visited this gallery Called Space Minus One the other day and I Thought the exhibition on show was wonderful. It's by Elizabeth Sierra and it's called prefer bush (meaning more or less 'I prefer a hundred flying '). She Hundreds of paper has hung birds and boats all over-the-room, it's bewitching.

I stumbled upon installation I saw the other day in the gallery Espacio Madrid Menos Uno . The exhibition is called Prefiero Ciento Volando (which roughly means "I prefer cent in flight) and it is Elisabet Sierra . She has suspended hundreds of birds and small paper boats, that fills the room, the effect is magical.
