La Vierge Folle of Germaine Richier au Musée Picasso, Antibes. Photo by Shimown

Gianadda Foundation spoke the other day because I saw there exposure Nicolas de Staël . That day I also love walking through the sculpture garden where I took these photos.
Looking for information about Germaine Richier, I found this photo of the same sculpture, insensate Lady, but in the Picasso Museum in Antibes (France). I find it interesting to compare the two images: the statue is viewed differently in the two landscapes. I do not know if you would agree, but it seems to me that amid the vegetation, the foolish virgin is crazier, more awkward, seem more rare forms, facing the sea seems to be more naked but somewhat less indecent more natural. In both cases I like this work.

I talked about the Gianadda Foundation the other day because that was where I saw the wonderful exhibition of Nicolas de Staël 's works. I also had a very nice walk around the garden of sculptures where I took these pictures.
Whilst looking for information about Germaine Richier I found this photo of the same sculpture, The Foolish Virgin, only this one stands in the Picasso Museum in Antibes (France). I find it interesting to compare the two photos : the statues look quite different in the two landscapes. Don't know about you, but I think in the greenery the Foolish Virgin looks crazier, more awkward and her shapes are weirder. In front of the sea she seems to me more naked to less indecent Somehow, more natural. I do Like the sculpture in Both boxes.

I spoke the other day Gianadda Foundation in Martigny (Switzerland) because I saw the wonderful exhibition Nicolas de Stael . I also liked to walk in his garden sculptures here are some pictures.
In doing some research on Germaine Richier, I came across this photo of the sculpture, The Foolish Virgin , this time in the Musée Picasso in Antibes. I find it interesting to compare these two images: the work is perceived in quite different in either landscape. I do not know about you, but for me in the virgin vegetation looks more mad crazy, clumsy, its forms are more strange by the sea she looks more naked and less indecent somehow more natural. I like him in both cases.
